1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for an account, using our APIs, or deploying integrations, you enter into a binding legal agreement with Cortado. These terms apply to all users, including developers, businesses, and organizations interacting with our services directly or indirectly.

2. Use of the Service

You agree to use Cortado only for lawful and authorized purposes. Misuse of the platform—such as reverse engineering, exploiting vulnerabilities, or exceeding rate limits—may result in suspension or termination of your account.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

To access most features, you must register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and any activity under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

"A stable platform is built on mutual trust and respect for the rules."

4. API Access and Rate Limits

Cortado provides programmatic access via RESTful and WebSocket APIs. To ensure fair usage and platform stability, we may enforce rate limits and quotas. Abuse or repeated violations may result in API key revocation or temporary access blocks.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, code, trademarks, and branding associated with Cortado remain the exclusive property of the platform or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or republish any materials without our explicit permission.

You retain ownership of content you upload or create through Cortado, but you grant us a limited license to use it for operational purposes.

6. Integrations and Third-Party Services

Cortado supports integrations with third-party services such as authentication providers, payment processors, and analytics tools. Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Cortado is not liable for any issues arising from third-party integrations.

7. Fees and Payments

Some features or integrations may require a paid subscription. If applicable:

  • All fees are billed in advance

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled

  • Refunds are provided only where required by law

Pricing and billing terms will be clearly stated during checkout or activation of premium services.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Cortado if you violate these terms, interfere with other users, or present a security risk. You may also terminate your account at any time via your dashboard or by contacting support.

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

Cortado is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for high reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Cortado be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
